Swedish GT pilot completed another two-day test for team HEICO Motorsport near Sevilla in the south of Spain. The start of the first tests had to be delayed due to dense fog.

Later on, Max Nilsson (SWE) completed his miles in the Mercedes Benz SLS GT3 AMG in perfect weather conditions, taking turns with other pilots. The modifications in the setup were tested in order to keep changing the dynamics of the racing car.

The track was difficult to drive after it had rained the night before the second day of tests. “It was not wet enough for wet tyres and too wet for slick tyres which caused bad testing conditions. Besides, it took a long time for the track to dry”, says Nilsson. Nevertheless, the team was able to begin with the tests a little later. The simulation of a long distance stint showed that Nilsson is managing the Mercedes Benz well and is setting steady lap times.

Teammanager Norbert Brückner: “Max also manages to achieve the optimum at a certain point in time with a new set of tyres. This is important in order to be able to reach the best lap time in the qualifying.”

Max Nilsson: “We had two very intensive test days with team HEICO Motorsport. The team delivers reliable and perfect quality and adapts to the pilot. Testing there and reaching common goals is always great fun. I realise that I feel better and better in the car and that I make progress.”
